Holiday
Hi everyone,
My favorite holiday is Christmas. I'm not a Christian, but I love Christmas. Because I get presents from Santa Claus. To be honest, I thought Santa was real until I was about 12 years old.Santa left me a letter written in English and present, so I thought he really is there!, and I believed it. Now, instead of presents, I have an envelope of money under my pillow at Christmas. This is one of those moments when I feel like I've grown up. That's so sad moment... Did you all believe that there was a Santa Claus?ఠࡇఠ Also, at my house we have chicken, cake and pasta in tomato sauce for Christmas. We eat chicken like you often see in pictures, not KFC. I don't know the name of it, sorry... In the past, my family and relatives used to celebrate Christmas together, but I'm less likely to spend it with the whole family as I spend time with friends and get busy. Also, my brother's birthday is December 11, so we always have the same Christmas party and birthday party, which I think is a little more extravagant than most families.
Also, have you heard of Waitangi Day? In New Zealand, the day of the treaty between the Maori and the British is a public holiday. This is primarily a South Island event. I was staying in the North Island, near Auckland, so I didn't get to see the event with my own eyes, but my friends tell me it's a very important day. I'd like to see it when I get a chance to visit Christchurch.
Thank you for reading.
Hi Nonoka!
返信削除Your favorite holiday is nice! Do you know we can send Santa Claus a letter? I don't remember details, but I remember Santa Claus live in Norway, and we can send a letter. I have heard there are several types of Santas in the world. In japan, He ride a sled another country's Santa play surfing and come. It's wonder isn't it?
