Have you ever?

Hi everyone,

I have so many weird experiences. For example, I saw the Yakusugi in the heavy rain, I slept on a trampoline while seeing a lot of stars, I went to Australia 10 days for free, I got on the back of a truck and go around the island and so on. But I'll tell you about one of the hardest experiences I've had.

The first time I flew alone was in the third grade. Probably 9 or 10 years old? Since this age I often flying alone. I was really scary when I was 10 but now I prefer flying alone. In the 2018, I went to New Zealand to meet my friend and host. I had a great time during my 10 days in New Zealand, I met a lot of friends and I was able to travel around New Zealand with my host. But.......at that time, I still didn't think anything serious was going to happen. My return flight was after 8pm, I think. So my host family dropped me off at the airport at that time. But when I arrived at the airport, checked my luggage, said goodbye to my host and was ready to go to customs. MY NAME was called in the announcement.... I was very surprised when they called me. Because I had never experienced being called out at the airport before. The reason I was called in is because the plane I was flying on decided to delay for 8 HOURS..... Honestly I was really want go back home so I disappointed. After that, I receive 15 dollars worth of tickets to be used in the airport and ate McDonald's with host.

After that I was able to stay in a nice hotel right in front of the airport because I'm a minor. But I shudder to think if I was an adult. I stayed in the same room with a Korean ground staff member and we had a lot of fun talking until 4:00 in the morning, which was my flight time. I still keep in contact with her.

I thought not many people experience such a delay in flight, so I told. I was able to fly back to Tokyo for 10 hours flight, I was very tired. But It was amazing experience.

First one is 15 dollars ticket. Second one is the town calls Te aroha@-@/ It means 'Love' in Maori. And my second home town!
Thank you for reading!

  1. That's an interesting story! I think it's interesting that you stayed with a Korean ground staff member and not by yourself.

  2. Hi, Nonoka!

I think many people have never had such an experience! I still don't have the courage to travel abroad alone...😭 You are so cool! I think the good thing about traveling abroad is getting to know a lot of people, right? I also want to go see my host someday!
